A DIAL TRIBUTE
The dial features a finely engraved guilloché base, chosen for its subtle light refraction and depth without overpowering the composition. On top of it sits an intentionally unconventional numeral layout—bold, oversized, and asymmetrical—treated more like graphic elements than traditional indices.
Japanese inscriptions are worked into the dial as a nod to the series’ inspiration: Macao, Asia's gambling hub and one of our favorite cities in the world, where heritage and risk intersect with unmistakable visual intensity. In place of the number eight—long considered the luckiest number in Chinese culture—a dollar sign appears to bolster the watch as a good luck charm.
THE DICE MOTIF
The dice element brings a gamified, playful dimension to the watch, turning symbolism into something immediately intuitive and tactile.
It reflects how we think about design: serious craftsmanship, paired with a sense of fun. Where many watches use technical complexity to make a statement, this detail does the opposite—distilling the idea of chance into a form that feels approachable, graphic, and unmistakably Törner.
The result is a watch that doesn’t take itself too seriously. It’s designed to be worn, noticed, and enjoyed. In many ways, the dice detail captures the essence of the brand itself—thoughtful, unconventional, and fun.
CHOOSING THE CASE
A statement watch demands a statement case—but never at the expense of wearability. The case features a high-polish mirror finish, chosen to amplify the watch’s visual presence and reflect light with intention.
Given the larger case, we chose a tonneau case shape to balance scale with comfort. First introduced in the early 1900s, the tonneau has long been favored by some of our favorite watchmakers—especially when designing larger watches meant to house more expressive dials or higher-horology complications. Its naturally curved profile allows the case to follow the wrist, creating a streamlined silhouette that feels refined rather than bulky.
The result is a case that wears smaller than its dimensions suggest. Bold in presence, but fluid in form, it sits comfortably on all wrist sizes.
